Life

My blue-eyed sis has been going through a bad time lately and I haven't been able to be there for her. Physical proximity isn't possible with me still having the kids at school here in England and with her unwell in Portugal. The rest of the family, however, has come together for her and is trying to support her during this troubled time. Life is sometimes difficult and cruel but I'm sure she'll pull through.

The Aliens

you may not believe it
but there are people
who go through life with
very little
friction or
distress.
they dress well, eat
well, sleep well.
they are contented with
their family
life.
they have moments of
grief
but all in all
they are undisturbed
and often feel
very good.
and when they die
it is an easy
death, usually in their
sleep.
you may not believe
it
but such people do
exist.
but I am not one of
them.
oh no, I am not one
of them,
I am not even near
to being
one of
them
but they are
there
and I am
here.

Charles Bukowski

Hope sister gets back to normal soon Claudia.

Leading a life as described by the poet requires absolutely no effort at all Claudia. just a little change of attitude.

A change of attitude helps a lot. It certainly has been helping me and would help my sister. But definite and complete changes of attitude DO take a lot of effort and a remarkably strong will. Not everyone can do it.
