Look Mum, I'm in the News !!!

One the pictures I took in Monterey, California, 11 years ago made it to today's front page of the Monterey Local News!

Now I know a photo journalist. Its a privilege, it feel so good when you see the picture you have taken in the news paper that too on the front page, a perfect picture.

Claudia said...: It's sooooo like you to be puzzled, dear izcurious, but I'll explain: someone who works for the Monterey Local News was searching the net for photos of Monterey and came across my picture of Cannery Row, which, along many others, is now in Flickr (2006 was my conversion to Flickr year). It's not the first time this kind of thing happens: some travel agencies (mainly from Poland) have already asked me to use some of the photos I took in Zurich and St. Moritz; IT IS, however, the FIRST time a photo credit with my name on it makes it to a newspaper's front page. I guess that Flickr is used for this purpose also... they probably don't want to employ a photographer when there's pictures of everything in the net.; 3 Jan 2007 22:32:00
