Thanks Claudia, never heard of Brel.
'a little romance' not a great film, but i loved it for Paris and Dianne Lane as old as Ana and for Lawrence Olivier. This painting reminds me of the movie, 70's but fresh in my mind.

I'm afraid I don't know that film, Rauf, I'll have to look it up. You have great taste and I never regret following your suggestions. How's your kitty? She doesn't let you facebook or blog much, does she?

I envy your good luck, Peter, to be able to enjoy such a wonderful city every day!

It's a painting I bought in Montmartre on my first trip to Paris in 1999, Ruth. I cherish it and I think it goes particularly well with this Brel song.

I've never been far away... just next door, João.
