rauf said...: Chinese poet Li Po (701-706) is regarded as one of the two greatest poets in China’s literary history. He was well known for his love of liquor and often spouted his greatest poems while drunk.

One night, Li Po fell from his boat and drowned in the Yangtze River while trying to embrace the reflection of the moon in the water.

i am not a good guy Claudia, instead of appreciating a beautiful picture i am giving you a disaster story.
This tops the list of 30 strangest deaths in history my favourite is the 2nd story.

I was always fascinated by Isadora Duncan's tragic scarf. Also by Rasputin's apparent immunity to death. It must have been terrifying for those trying to get rid of him. At the time everybody was trying to get rid of everybody else so I'm a bit glad someone gave them a fright. Rasputin was a scoundrel, though, preying on the misery of a very sick child and his mother. He deserves no sympathy for the role he played in the Romanov tragedy.

rauf said...: made into a movie Ruth, late 60s or early 70s Vanessa Redgrave playing isadora. i don't remember much, some thing was wrong and i didn't like it. She got an Oscar that year.; 14 Oct 2010 00:22:00
